Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Same Day Access Clinician to join our team at United Counseling Services. As a Same Day Access Clinician, you will play a vital role in providing intake services, assessments, and treatment recommendations for adults, youth, and children with substance use and bio-psycho-social issues.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in social work, psychology, or a related counseling field, with experience working with diverse mental health and substance use issues. They should be licensed or eligible to pursue licensure in Vermont as a Substance Use Social Worker, Psychologist, or Mental Health Professional. The successful candidate will also possess strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to navigate electronic medical records.

Responsibilities
  • Complete intake process, including screening and provision of information, assessments, and notification for all referrals to the agency
  • Assess client needs and make recommendations as appropriate
  • Communicate with other service providers to meet individual needs, making referrals to appropriate staff & programs, and provides information to other service providers or referral sources
  • Advocate for newly hired therapists and interns by orientating them to SDA/FAST sessions
  • Responsible for managing adult mental health clients on waitlist
  • Providing follow up Bamboo Health calls within 48 hours of UCS clients being discharged from ED
  • Complete all documentation in a thorough and timely manner according the UCS and Medicaid documentation guidelines
Estimated Salary Range

$50,000 - $55,910 per year
