As a vital member of our team, you will oversee the Customer Service and Administrative functions of accounts assigned to key producers. This role may involve direct management of other team members, including Customer Service Representatives or assistants. You will play a crucial role in retaining renewals, marketing new business opportunities, and managing customer accounts effectively. Acting as a representative of First Mid Bank & Trust, you will advocate for our clients, collaborating with our insurance partners to fulfill client needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service consistently, proactively addressing customer needs, maintaining regular and professional communication, and responding promptly to service inquiries.
- Exhibit a high level of technical proficiency and industry knowledge.
- Maintain a policy expiration list to ensure timely renewals and delivery of policies.
- Monitor accounts receivable balances for assigned accounts.
- Professionally cross-sell insurance and banking services.
- Complete all necessary training related to the job functions.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Education:
- A Bachelor's degree in a business-related field is preferred, along with two years of experience in the insurance sector, or a minimum of five years of experience in the insurance industry.
- Possession of both an Illinois Insurance Producers license and a valid Illinois Driver's license is mandatory for this position. First Mid will support training and testing for any additional licensure as necessary.
- Prior experience with Excel, Word, and related software is essential.
- Comprehensive knowledge of insurance products and coverages.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks accurately and thoroughly, with a strong emphasis on meeting deadlines.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Capability to work respectfully with diverse populations, both internally and externally.
- Empathy towards customers and the ability to respond appropriately.
- In-depth knowledge of Accord forms.
- Flexibility to work outside of standard hours, including early or late shifts, and may require off-site visits to accommodate customer needs.
