Position Overview:

Accountable for ensuring the safety and security of colleagues, guests, and property assets at the Vail Marriott Mountain Resort and Spa.

Position Specifications:
  • Outlet: The Hythe - Marriott Luxury Collection
  • Expected Pay Range: $25.49 per hour
  • Shift & Schedule: Full-Time, Year-Round
    • Overnight shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify potential security and safety risks, respond to emergencies, address complaints, and conduct investigations while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Keep precise records during duties including monitoring surveillance, documenting shift activities, and managing guest and employee incidents, ensuring confidentiality.
  • Handle challenging guest situations with professionalism and hospitality.
  • Respond effectively to emergencies.
  • Oversee hotel lost and found operations.
  • Communicate effectively with management and team members.
  • Maintain composure and professionalism in high-pressure situations.
  • Complete all assigned tasks promptly and to the expected standards.
  • Assist valet services with guest vehicle retrieval as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English is mandatory.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • At least one year of guest service experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office, is required.
  • Must obtain CPR, First Aid, and AED certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Maintain a positive and optimistic attitude at all times.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
  • Remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
  • Quick learner capable of adapting to various scenarios.
  • Physical ability to bend, crawl, climb, lift, kneel, and crouch as required.
  • Capable of lifting up to 60 lbs.
  • Willingness to work in all weather conditions.
  • Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays is essential.
  • Commitment to year-round employment is required.
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish is advantageous.

The expected pay range is $25.49 per hour. This reflects the compensation we anticipate for this role, with individual decisions based on various factors.
