Job Title: Benefits Account Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Benefits Account Manager to join our team at World Insurance Associates, LLC. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing health and welfare benefit programs for our clients, ensuring exceptional client service and retention.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Producers and Account Executives to deliver outstanding client service and enhance client employee benefit programs.
  • Manage client lifecycle, including onboarding, strategy development, policy marketing, and open enrollment coordination.
  • Assist with day-to-day service issues, such as complex service issues, claims, billing, eligibility, enrollment, and coverage issues.
  • Participate in vendor procurement and negotiation, analyzing and comparing vendor products, services, and contracts.
  • Contribute to benefit plan analysis, design, cost savings, and funding strategies.
  • Prepare for and facilitate client meetings, including agendas and materials, and coordinate resources.
  • Provide benefit enrollment support, including preparing materials and presentations, verifying policy and plan information, and updating internal systems.
  • Educate and advise clients on compliance topics, including ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, 5500s, and Health Care Reform.
  • Update agency management systems and customer files in the document management system according to workflows and ensure accuracy for compliance.
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of experience dealing with health and welfare plans, preferably in a benefit consulting/brokerage firm.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and produce quality deliverables on time.
  • Strong client service orientation and ability to respond to all communications effectively and in a timely manner.
  • Self-starter with proven ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Strong analytical and detail orientation, with ability to apply knowledge to solve problems and bring creative solutions.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • State Life and Health license required.
