Position Summary:

We are in search of a dedicated Pipeyard Operations Assistant to become part of our vibrant team. This role involves assisting in the management and organization of pipe inventory, facilitating the loading and unloading of materials, and supporting daily operations within the yard. If you are interested in a hands-on role that contributes to operational efficiency and offers a supportive work environment, we encourage you to consider this opportunity.

Responsibilities:
  • Apply strapping, bracing, or padding to secure materials during transport.
  • Prepare pipes through painting, stenciling, sandblasting, and coating as required.
  • Accurately load and unload pipe inventory, confirming heat numbers and quantities.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized workspace, adhering to safety and housekeeping standards.
  • Follow verbal and hand signal instructions for the identification and movement of pipes.
  • Cross-train for various tasks and assist in different areas as necessary.
  • Safely operate equipment and tools while following all safety guidelines and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Report any discrepancies in inventory and perform additional tasks as directed by supervisors.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends (up to 50 hours per week).
  • Successful completion of background checks and drug screenings.
  • Stable work history, ideally in an industrial environment.
  • Reliable means of transportation.
  • Strong commitment to safety and adherence to protocols.
  • Positive demeanor and effective teamwork abilities.
  • Capacity to lift up to 50 lbs. and exert 10-20 lbs. of force regularly.
  • Able to work in varying weather conditions and perform physical tasks.
