Patient Service Representative Lead

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Lead Patient Service Representative to join our team at Straub Medical Center. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating work activities and staffing for our Physiatry team, including training and maintaining master schedules, processing professional/technical fees, and acting as a liaison between patients and professional staff.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate work activities and staffing for the Physiatry team
- Train and maintain master schedules
- Process professional/technical fees generated by department providers
- Interview, register, admit, update, and create patients' medical records
- Act as a liaison between patients and professional staff
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of clerical support experience in a healthcare setting, including medical insurance and collection experience
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work effectively under minimal supervision
We also prefer candidates with:
- An Associate's Degree in business administration or a related field
- ICD-9 and CPT coding certification
- Medical Terminology experience
- MS Office Suite experience
