IT Asset Management Director

The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily and long-term operational management of software and technology-related hardware within the organization.


Key responsibilities will include managing, controlling, and protecting the organization's IT assets throughout their life cycle, from acquisition through final disposition.


The IT Asset Management Director will also contribute to the design, development, and implementation of the organization's asset management strategy.


Additionally, the role will involve managing the maintenance of tools containing information regarding licenses, warranties, and service agreements for the organization's hardware and software to ensure compliance with vendor contracts.


The successful candidate will also support the partnership with the finance and procurement teams and assist procurement with defined strategies to optimize technology spend across the organization.


Other key responsibilities will include assisting in the development and implementation of procedures for tracking company assets to oversee quality control throughout their lifecycles.


The IT Asset Management Director will oversee lifecycle asset management tasks, projects, activities, and engagements for the program.


The role will also involve serving as an IT asset management subject matter expert and working with leadership to develop and enhance lifecycle asset management strategy, company policies, and processes that align with the programs and customer's business objectives.


The successful candidate will analyze new and complex lifecycle asset management-related problems and create innovative solutions that address schedule, technology, methodology, tools, solution components, and financial management.


Other key responsibilities will include contributing to the planning and implementing IT hardware/software asset life cycle strategy, managing tracking of acquisition, deployment, utilization, security, and final disposition of IT assets, and supporting ITAM systems analysis.


The IT Asset Management Director will also assist in the development of and implements effective procedures and processes for accurately tracking and accounting for IT assets through the asset lifecycle.


The role will involve supporting optimization, usage, and cost of IT hardware & Software deployments, contributing to the development of processes and procedures to continually enhance IT asset data integrity and compliance, and driving process improvements with Lifecycle Asset Management best practices and automation.


The successful candidate will manage a team of ITAM product owners and analysts, develop and present IT Asset Management metrics, visualizations, and reports to leadership, and participate in special projects as required.


Qualifications for the role include a Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field, 7-10 years of direct experience in IT Asset Management, experience with asset management tools, ITIL v4 Foundation certification, experience in IT procurement and Project Management, and strong computer skills.


The successful candidate will also possess fluent English verbal and written communication skills, the ability to follow process and demonstrate a high degree of accuracy/quality, and the ability to see structure and bring order to undefined (or poorly defined) processes.
