Key Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

This position is being filled under the Direct Hire Authority for Certain Personnel of the Department of Defense. The agency reserves the right to close this announcement early or extend it based on its needs. Qualified applicants may be referred to management at various stages of the selection process. Selections may occur at any time during the open period.

Applicants must possess relevant financial experience or a related degree (such as Finance, Accounting, Management, Actuarial Science, or similar fields) while meeting the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) minimum qualification standards. Combination of education and experience must meet the DHA qualification requirement.

Human Resources will assess qualifications for each entry grade level based on interest and additional criteria. Federal resumes require more detailed descriptions of work experience and accomplishments than typical private sector resumes. Please ensure clarity in your resume.

One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in federal service is required, demonstrating the ability to perform the duties of this position.

Specialized experience is defined as: experience in analyzing financial data using tools such as Microsoft Excel, Access, or other data visualization software in a working capital fund environment to support data-driven recommendations and enhance operational effectiveness. Familiarity with Power BI and Automation Tools is advantageous.

Volunteer Experience: Paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations, will be considered.

You may qualify for consideration if you meet time-in-grade, specialized experience, education requirements, and other qualifications within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement.

Education:

Education cannot substitute for specialized experience at this grade level.

This position requires obtaining and maintaining a Level 2 Certification under the DoD Financial Management (FM) Certification Program as a condition of employment. If selected, certification must be achieved within two years unless already in a position requiring it. Failure to obtain certification may result in removal from the position.
