Pediatric Medical Hospitalist Advanced Practice Provider

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Medical Hospitalist Advanced Practice Provider to join our team at Duke Health. As a key member of our hospitalist team, you will provide direct patient care services to children 0–21 years in inpatient and outpatient settings.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with attending physicians and other healthcare professionals to assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients.
  • Provide clinical care for patients through established protocols and under the supervision of a hospitalist physician.
  • Assess patients for change in status and institute appropriate interventions.
  • Develop patient care pathways, protocols, and guidelines for the management of specific problems.
  • Communicate verbally and in writing with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Current unrestricted medical license or RN license issued by the NCMB or NCBON.
  • 1 or more years' experience as an inpatient acute care pediatric advanced practice provider.
