Duke Health is seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Cardiac Stepdown Advanced Practice Provider to join our team. As a key member of our Pediatric Critical Care Medicine team, you will provide direct patient care services for critically ill pediatric patients aged 0-21 with acute, complex, and chronic illness across a variety of care settings.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care services for critically ill pediatric patients
- Collaborate with attending physicians, residents, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Conduct daily rounds to assess patient status and develop treatment plans
- Perform procedures specific to the work environment after demonstrated competency
- Assess patients for change in status and institute appropriate interventions
- Graduate of MSN or DNP Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program or Master's or Doctoral Degree ARC accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current unrestricted RN license issued by or recognized by the NCBON with approval to practice as an NP or Current unrestricted medical license issued by NCMB with approval to practice as a PA
- PNP-AC or PA-C certification
- Prior experience as a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant in a pediatric acute care clinical setting strongly preferred
