About the Role

The Dishroom Attendant is a vital member of our Dining Services team at Sunrise Senior Living. This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen and dining areas, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and maintain the dish and pot washing areas, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
  • Operate dish machines according to manufacturer instructions and maintain accurate temperature and sanitation logs.
  • Perform dishwashing tasks to properly wash and sanitize all dishes, utensils, and cookware.
  • Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, including stoves, ovens, fryers, and refrigerators.
  • Perform assigned janitorial duties, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing production areas.
  • Assist with food preparation and plating as needed.
  • Maintain accurate storage of all cookware, china, glassware, and utensils.
  • Comply with OSHA and Occupational Health and Safety Regulation requirements, adhering to safety rules and regulations at all times.
Requirements
  • One (1) year job-related experience preferred.
  • High School diploma/GED.
  • CPR Certificate and First Aid Certificate.
  • ServSafe Food Handler Card.
  • Local Health Department Food Handler Card.
  • Written and verbal skills for effective communication.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrates good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
