About the Role

Cleveland Clinic Health System is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team in the Operating Room. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety during surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons and registered nurses in surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile field and ensuring quality patient care.
  • Prepare and maintain surgical equipment, instruments, and supplies, adhering to AORN guidelines.
  • Participate in pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases, providing individualized patient care and maintaining aseptic technique.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure efficient and effective surgical procedures.
  • Comply with hospital policies and procedures, including infection control and patient safety protocols.
Requirements
  • Completion of a surgical technology program accredited through the CAAHEP or ABHES, or completion of a military surgical technology program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • One year of surgical technologist experience in an acute care operating room.
  • Preferred qualifications include certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) and two years of experience in a multi-disciplined OR in an acute care hospital setting.
