About the Role

Cleveland Clinic Weston Hospital is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team of dedicated caregivers. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety during surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons and registered nurses in surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile field and ensuring quality patient care.
  • Prepare and maintain surgical equipment, instruments, and supplies, adhering to strict sterility protocols.
  • Participate in pre-operative and post-operative patient care, ensuring a smooth transition between phases.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to maintain a safe and efficient operating room environment.
  • Comply with established guidelines for perioperative practices, including AORN standards.
Requirements
  • Completion of a surgical technology program accredited through the CAAHEP or ABHES, or equivalent military training.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
  • One year of experience in an acute care operating room, with a focus on surgical technology.
  • Preferred qualifications include certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) and two years of experience in a multi-disciplined OR setting.
