As a Cardiovascular Care Coordinator with CommonSpirit Health, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality patient care. Under the supervision of our board-certified cardiologists and cardiothoracic surgeons, you will assess patients, collect relevant data, and perform testing to prepare them for physician visits. Your attention to detail and ability to maintain patient flow through the clinic will be essential in delivering exceptional care. You will also be responsible for forwarding test results and documentation to physicians for review, executing orders as received, and notifying patients of test results while ensuring appropriate follow-up per protocol. Additionally, you will complete patient refills as requested by both patients and pharmacies, ensuring that necessary labs are ordered per protocol. Your excellent communication skills and ability to educate patients and their families/caregivers will be valuable assets in this role.
Responsibilities:
Assess patients, collect relevant data, and perform testing to prepare them for physician visits.
Maintain patient flow through the clinic.
Forward test results and documentation to physicians for review, execute orders as received.
Notify patients of test results and ensure appropriate follow-up per protocol.
Complete patient refills as requested by both patients and pharmacies, ensuring that necessary labs are ordered per protocol.
Educate patients and their families/caregivers.
Qualifications:
BSN or AS in Nursing.
Valid Tennessee RN License.
BLS Certification.
One year of experience in a clinical nursing setting.
Cardiology experience is a plus.
