The Retail Bookstore Supervisor is responsible for overseeing a variety of financial operations associated with student activities, including the management of funds related to clubs, books, and district resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payments via cash, checks, and credit cards for various fees and supplies.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and prepare regular financial reports.
  • Handle refunds and manage financial transactions related to student accounts.
  • Oversee the ordering and inventory management of textbooks and supplies.
  • Coordinate the sale of outdated textbooks and manage returns to vendors.
  • Administer tax credit accounts and ensure compliance with financial regulations.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of relevant federal and state financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in bookkeeping and financial record management.
  • Ability to manage inventory and maintain accurate records.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Competence in using various software applications for financial management.

Qualifications:

Associates Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, along with two years of relevant experience in financial management or bookkeeping.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must possess or obtain a valid fingerprint clearance card.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Physical capability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
