Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Order Preparation: Prepare orders for transport by packing, sealing, labeling, and affixing postage.
  • Shipment Coordination: Prepare orders for shipment in accordance with order profiles and customer requirements.
  • Inventory Management: Examine shipment contents and compare with records to verify accuracy.
  • Record Keeping: Record shipment data, including weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies.
  • Warehouse Operations: Load trucks with packaged materials and ensure shipment is routed correctly and signed for by the driver.
  • Inventory Verification: Verify inventory counts by comparing them to physical counts of stock and investigating discrepancies.
  • Storage and Organization: Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate various types of equipment in the warehouse, including RF Scanners, forklifts, pallet jacks, hand tools, and power tools.
  • Document Preparation: Prepare documents, such as work orders or bills of lading.
  • Transportation Coordination: Contact carrier representatives to make transportation arrangements.
  • Warehouse Safety: Maintain a safe work area in a clean and orderly condition and comply with safety procedures and operating rules.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 2 years of related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Skills: Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced work environment, ability to function well under pressure, ability to read, analyze, interpret, and fill out various forms and controlled documents, ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints knowledgeably and respectfully, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
