About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Customer Service Representative to join our team at Hemline. As a key member of our retail department, you will play a vital role in enhancing the customer experience through exceptional product knowledge, visual merchandising standards, and interpersonal skills.

Job Description:

The Customer Service Representative is an integral part of our sales floor team, responsible for providing personalized assistance to customers, maintaining store presentation, and fostering customer loyalty. Your expertise in Shopify will enable seamless navigation and efficient use of the platform. You will also be required to demonstrate initiative and a sense of urgency in preparing the selling floor for opening each day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Exceptional Customer Service: Offer personalized assistance, product knowledge, and resolve inquiries to ensure an unparalleled shopping experience.
  • Maintain Visual Merchandising Standards: Change apparel on mannequins in accordance with established merchandising and visual guidelines.
  • Cultivate Enduring Relationships: Foster loyalty and repeat business by educating fellow associates about merchandise standards and collaborating as a high-performing team.
  • Sell Merchandise Effectively: Use product knowledge and interpersonal abilities to drive sales and inspire customers with an aspirational approach.
  • Organize and Maintain Inventory: Ensure the store's cleanliness, presentation, and aesthetic appeal throughout the day.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: Required education and experience necessary for this role.
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong support for retail customers, assisting in inquiries, purchases, and after-sales support.

Work Environment:

The role primarily takes place in a retail store environment, with occasional interactions required in office settings. Physical demands include standing, walking, using hands to handle or feel, reaching with hands and arms, and talking or hearing.

Compensation and Benefits:

Hemline offers a competitive salary of approximately $40,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Additional benefits may include health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
