Job Title: CRNA - Atlanta Metropolitan Area - Full/Part/PRN

United Digestive is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our team in the Atlanta metropolitan area. As a CRNA, you will practice autonomously and in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality, holistic, evidence-based anesthesia services.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate patients prior to their endoscopy procedure, administering anesthesia and monitoring patients during and post-procedure.
  • Work under the direction of the endoscopist and collaborate with the Anesthesia Medical Director.
  • Perform pre-screening evaluations, obtain informed consent, and manage pre-anesthetic medications and/or treatment.
  • Develop and implement an anesthesia care plan, select and administer analgesic and anesthetic agents, and perform airway management.
  • Facilitate recovery from anesthesia, evaluate patient response, and provide post-anesthesia evaluation and care.
  • Manage emergency situations, assess, stabilize, and determine disposition of patients, and provide airway management and emergency drugs and fluids.
Qualifications:
  • Current active state licensure as a registered nurse and compliance with state statutory and regulatory requirements concerning CRNAs.
  • Graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the Council on Accreditation's of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs or its predecessor.
  • Current certification or recertification by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists.
  • Three to five years anesthesia experience, prior endoscopy experience a plus, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and EMR systems.
Physical/Mental/Environmental Demands:
  • Ability to work under stress, moderate periods of sitting and computer use, and good visual acuity.
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl, and reach, grasp, use fine finger movement, and feel sensation to discern temperature, texture, size, and shape.
  • Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time, lifting and carrying of items weighing up to 25 pounds, and travel as business needs dictate.
