Product Design Manager - TikTok Shop

TikTok is seeking an experienced Product Design Manager to join our growing TikTok Shop design team. As a design leader, you will build, lead, and inspire a team of designers, driving end-to-end designs for innovative commerce experiences for TikTok's global platform.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional peers and design leadership to drive alignment on strategic priorities, define product design direction, and allocate design resources effectively.
  • Establish strong relationships with senior leaders and key stakeholders across functions, modeling leadership that is collaborative and elevates the voice of product design within the organization.
  • Build a team of exceptional designers with intentional, long-term planning, proactive recruitment, and strong performance management.
  • Drive high-quality design with articulate, well-delivered feedback that improves the teams' ideas and executions.
  • Implement effective processes that enhance the efficiency and design quality of our team and allow it to adapt quickly to the changing needs of our business.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a design leader who has delivered impactful work that has moved businesses forward.
  • Experience collaborating with senior leadership to influence product strategy and product development processes.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively articulate ideas and rationale to stakeholders at all levels and across time zones.
  • A strong track record of scaling and managing a high-performing team of designers and successfully fostering individuals' growth.
  • Strong product intuition and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex user needs into intuitive and engaging design solutions.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity with a bias towards action and adapt to changing, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent project management skills, with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time.
  • Passion for e-commerce, user experience, and emerging trends in digital retail.
