Key Responsibilities- Manage client relationships and provide exceptional service to ensure client satisfaction.
- Perform technical reviews of partnership and corporate state tax returns, focusing on multistate tax issues such as apportionment, state modifications, state credits, nexus, method of filings, and flow-through taxation.
- Assist with various tax consulting projects, including research and writing projects related to tax planning, nexus studies, voluntary disclosure applications, audit defense, and penalty abatement.
- Analyze taxpayer data to identify opportunities for prospects and clients.
- Stay up-to-date on state and local tax law changes to provide expert guidance to clients.
- Participate in business development activities to grow the firm's external branding.
- Develop internal relationships within the firm to drive growth and success.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of related tax experience; public accounting experience preferred.
- CPA, JD, or LLM Taxation preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Creative problem-solving and research skills.
- Able to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
