Key Responsibilities
  • Manage client relationships and provide exceptional service to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Perform technical reviews of partnership and corporate state tax returns, focusing on multistate tax issues such as apportionment, state modifications, state credits, nexus, method of filings, and flow-through taxation.
  • Assist with various tax consulting projects, including research and writing projects related to tax planning, nexus studies, voluntary disclosure applications, audit defense, and penalty abatement.
  • Analyze taxpayer data to identify opportunities for prospects and clients.
  • Stay up-to-date on state and local tax law changes to provide expert guidance to clients.
  • Participate in business development activities to grow the firm's external branding.
  • Develop internal relationships within the firm to drive growth and success.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of related tax experience; public accounting experience preferred.
  • CPA, JD, or LLM Taxation preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Creative problem-solving and research skills.
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
