About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Purchasing Agent to join our team at PakTech. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing orders for materials and equipment, both standard and custom.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review PakTech specifications and requirements to identify options and contact potential suppliers.
  • Obtain quotes, prepare, place, and monitor purchase orders for services, supplies, commodities, materials, components, and equipment.
  • Act as a liaison between the company and suppliers to communicate questions, requests for changes/substitutions, and/or escalate problems throughout the procurement cycle.
  • Work with existing suppliers to improve quality, delivery, sustainability, and cost, and identify new suppliers and/or new capabilities within the existing supplier base.
  • Coordinate with Service and Production Teams to ensure stock levels are maintained appropriately.
  • Ensure purchasing activities are conducted in compliance with federal, state, and local laws, and are documented appropriately.
  • Participate actively in cost reduction initiatives and R&D BOM costing activities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a business or related field, which may include Computer science, Business, or Engineering.
  • Five years of related experience.
  • Candidates with less formal education, but with 10+ years experience will be considered.
