Wound Care Registered Nurse Opportunity

ChristianaCare is seeking a skilled Wound Care Registered Nurse to join our team at the Newark Campus, with occasional support needed at the Wilmington Campus. As a clinical resource and consultant, you will serve as a key member of our healthcare team, providing expert care to patients with wounds, ostomies, fistulas, and incontinence issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive wound care management, including assessment, treatment, and education for patients and their families.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Facilitate learning and skill development for internal caregivers through educational programs and workshops.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices and guidelines in wound care.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) as a minimum requirement.
  • 3-5 years of proven experience in acute care nursing, with a specialization in wound, ostomy, and continence care.
  • Leadership experience is preferred.
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Delaware or a compact state.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • WOCN certification is preferred, or completion of certification within two years of starting in the role.
