Wound Care Registered Nurse Opportunity

ChristianaCare is seeking a skilled Wound Care Registered Nurse to join our team at the Newark Campus. As a Wound Care Registered Nurse, you will serve as a clinical resource and consultant for the acute and rehabilitative care of select disorders of the gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and integumentary systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert care to patients with wounds, ostomies, fistulas, and incontinence issues.
  • Facilitate the learning process for patients and their families, inspiring changes in behavior, knowledge, attitudes, and psychomotor skills.
  • Demonstrate knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to provide appropriate care to patients of all ages.
  • Develop and implement educational programs for internal caregivers to enhance skills and knowledge related to wound, ostomy, and incontinence care.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) as a minimum requirement.
  • 3-5 years of proven experience in acute care nursing.
  • Leadership experience is preferred.
Special Requirements:
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Delaware or a compact state.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • WOCN certification is preferred, or completion of certification within two years of starting in the role.
