Position Overview:


We are seeking an experienced professional to broaden their audit skills on a global scale within an organization committed to improving the world and our communities.

You will leverage your leadership abilities and contribute to an international audit practice.

Our Internal Audit team is looking for a motivated Internal Audit Manager who is eager to collaborate with our leadership teams to enhance our business through comprehensive operational, financial, compliance, and IT audits.

As a trusted advisor, the Internal Audit function supports HDR in achieving its objectives by developing a thorough understanding of key business processes, policies, and procedures, offering management an independent perspective on financial, compliance, IT, and operational risks.

The Internal Audit department ensures the effectiveness of internal controls, corporate governance, and risk management across HDR's operations.

The Internal Audit Manager will be responsible for designing, planning, and executing procedures to assess the design and operational effectiveness of financial and operational controls, as outlined in the annual audit plan.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate business functions, assess risks, and customize audit procedures accordingly.
  • Maintain organized documentation to substantiate audit tests and communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders. Ensure all audit results are documented, factual, appropriately addressed, and communicated to Executive Management.
  • Facilitate collaboration among senior management during merger and acquisition activities, external audits, and Internal Audit team members.
  • Conduct special engagements requested by senior/executive management, including investigations, system reviews, and recommendations for process enhancements.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with various levels of financial, technical, and operational management throughout the organization.
  • Lead the audit department in developing reporting tools to identify real-time risks within the business.


This role includes supervising and reviewing audits, mentoring audit team members, and fostering a positive team environment.


The Internal Audit Manager will assist in formulating the annual audit plan using a risk-based approach to recommend focus areas to the Internal Audit Director.


The ideal candidate will have experience collaborating with finance and operational leaders, demonstrating the ability to build trusted relationships, and assisting clients in refining business processes.

This professional should possess strong presentation skills and the ability to convey technical issues to senior management.


As a leader within the Internal Audit team, this individual should exhibit a passion for the profession, confidence to constructively challenge existing processes, and the drive to continuously enhance the function.

This individual should be adept at leading teams to achieve business objectives efficiently and will be responsible for staff development and future recruitment.


Travel requirements may reach 20%, typically involving trips lasting three to five days, including both domestic and international opportunities.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, management information systems (MIS), business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience, including managerial experience, preferably in audit/accounting/finance.
  • Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and auditing standards.
  • Excellent administrative and project management capabilities.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate issues and risks to business partners and senior management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, etc.).
  • Strong analytical abilities.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional designations such as CPA, CIA, CFE, CISA, CISSP, or CISM are preferred.
  • Familiarity with audit analytics, data acquisition, and data visualization tools (IDEA, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, etc.) is desired.
  • Basic understanding of IT topics such as firewalls, networks, vulnerability management, role-based access, and experience in IT Security compliance, IT systems audits, or IT general controls is preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills and prior experience managing teams of senior and staff auditors.
  • Preference will be given to local candidates.
