Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Audit Manager, this role is pivotal in executing and overseeing comprehensive audit evaluations to support the internal audit strategy. The incumbent will be responsible for the planning, execution, and reporting of various audit assignments, while also providing actionable insights for enhancing internal controls and operational efficiencies. This position necessitates effective collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders, including audit firms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Report directly to the Audit Manager without any direct reports.
  • Travel requirements of up to 20% for both domestic and international assignments.
  • Evaluate and communicate the findings of audits and projects, ensuring accuracy and effectiveness.
  • Analyze and identify root causes of control deficiencies and assess their implications on the overall control environment.
  • Work with management to formulate timely and feasible remediation strategies.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements.
Qualifications:
  • Preferred Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree with 7+ years of experience, or 9+ years of relevant experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years of auditing experience in a professional services or manufacturing environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial and operational auditing standards and practices.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for effective presentation of information to management.
  • Strong organizational and audit planning capabilities.
  • Willingness to travel overnight within the US and internationally, approximately 20% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, MIS, or Business Administration from an accredited institution.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, or CIS Auditor.
  • Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or MIS.
  • Experience in training and developing team members.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Excel, Access, and related analytical tools.
  • Experience in utilizing and developing data analytics.
