Job Summary:

The Director National Sales for Flagstar Financial & Leasing will assist the division heads in developing the overall sales strategy for the company. This includes market focus, product development, job descriptions, and workflow design.

This position will work with senior management in commercial banking to develop appropriate products and support to enhance relationship building in specialized lending verticals and corporate banking.

The Director National Sales will work with the president, head of first line credit, asset management, documentation, funding, and operations to develop workflows that ensure safety and soundness and regulatory compliance while providing a best-in-class service experience for customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with FF senior management to develop overall sales strategy for all channels, including pricing, new markets, product development, and job position design.
  • Identify and develop new products, workflows, and sales positions to support specialized lending, corporate banking.
  • Assist FF division heads in recruiting and training customer-facing positions.
  • Assist the FF division heads in incentive compensation plan development and administration, establishment of pricing targets, and oversight, including approval of exception pricing.
  • Work proactively with risk, asset management, operations, documentation, and senior management to develop policies and procedures and workflows that are regulatory compliant, build safe and sound portfolios, and maximize efficiency while providing a best-in-class customer service experience.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree (4 years or equivalent)
  • 15 years of experience in equipment finance, including risk assessment and sales, with a track record of production and managing people
  • Domain expertise in equipment finance, including specialty industry sectors such as construction, transportation, and hard asset equipment financing and leasing
  • Excellent knowledge of loan and lease products, pricing, and structure
  • Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Good knowledge of pricing models and CRM systems
  • Good leadership skills, both formally with direct reports and informally across company channels
  • Excellent sales and sales training skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills to all levels
  • Strong financial analysis, pricing, and risk assessment skills
  • Strategic thinker
  • Ability to manage people and business platforms
  • Excellent client negotiation and dispute resolution skills
