Job Title: Advanced Emergency Medical Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) to provide emergency medical services to our patients, ensuring their safety and well-being in emergency situations.

Job Summary:

The AEMT will be responsible for providing patient care in emergency and non-emergency environments, ensuring compliance with state EMS rules and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in emergency medical services, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to emergency calls and provide patient care according to company protocols and medical director-approved standing orders.
  • Ensure ambulance and equipment are cleaned and checked daily, reporting any deficiencies to the shift supervisor or Director of Operations.
  • Prepare and complete reports, including Patient Care Reports (PCR), billing, exposure reports, incident reports, and daily, weekly, and monthly unit check-offs.
  • Ensure unit and crew members adhere to AmeriPro EMS policies, procedures, guidelines, directives, and standards.
  • Maintain a state of readiness and professionalism while on-duty, adhering to company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • State-specific Advanced Emergency Medical Technician certification/licensure in good standing/current NREMT certification (if applicable by state law).
  • CPR certification.
  • Valid state-specific driver's license.
  • Successful completion of a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
  • Strong people skills and proven ability to collaborate within a team.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to comprehend and execute verbal and written instructions in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working as an EMT or in a similar medical role.
  • Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) and/or International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) training.
