Emergency Medical Technician

At AmeriPro EMS, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Emergency Medical Technician to join our team. As an EMT, you will play a critical role in providing emergency medical services to patients in need.
Job Summary:The Emergency Medical Technician will be responsible for providing patient care in emergency and non-emergency situations, ensuring compliance with all state EMS rules and regulations. This includes checking and maintaining all ambulance equipment and vehicles to ensure they are clean and in proper working condition.
Key Responsibilities:- Respond to emergency calls and provide patient care according to company policy and medical director protocols.
- Ensure ambulance and equipment are cleaned and checked daily, reporting any deficiencies to the shift supervisor or Director of Operations.
- Prepare and complete reports, including Patient Care Reports, billing, exposure reports, incident reports, and daily, weekly, and monthly unit check-offs.
- Ensure unit and crew members adhere to AmeriPro EMS policies, procedures, guidelines, directives, and standards, reporting any deficiencies to the shift supervisor or Director of Operations.
- Prompt and regular attendance at work and mandatory meetings.
- Maintain a state of readiness and professionalism while on-duty.
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct while in company uniform, either on or off duty.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent qualification.
- State-specific Emergency Medical Technician certification/licensure in good standing/current NREMT certification (if applicable by state law).
- Current CPR: BLS certification.
- Valid state-specific driver's license.
- Successful completion of a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Strong people skills and proven ability to collaborate within a team.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to comprehend and execute verbal and written instructions in English.
- Previous experience working as an EMT or in a similar medical role.
- Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) and/or International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) training.
- FEMA IS certs: (IS:100; IS:200; IS:800; IS:900).
