About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Fleet Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Davidson Transit Organization. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising a team of mechanics and other maintenance workers, ensuring that all vehicles are maintained in clean, safe, operable condition, and meeting daily peek pull out requirements. This is a safety-sensitive position subject to all testing provisions under the Drug and Alcohol Policy, including random drug and alcohol testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule and assign work to mechanics according to level of skill and experience
  • Supervise all mechanics and other maintenance workers on assigned shift
  • Decide work to be completed on shift
  • Provide instruction and technical assistance to mechanics, as necessary
  • Assure compliance with labor agreement and enforce proper safety procedures
Requirements
  • Prefer at least five years of increasingly responsible fleet maintenance and repair experience in a public transit agency
  • Must possess a valid TN Driver's License
  • Must meet required deadlines
  • Ability to work any schedule, including evenings and weekends on a regular schedule, and work overtime as needed
Benefits

This is a non-exempt position with an estimated salary range of $75,000 - $90,000 per year. Benefits include comprehensive health insurance, 401(k) plan, and paid time off.
