Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our team as a Section Head. As a key member of our engineering practice, you will be responsible for delivering project objectives, coordinating with clients and stakeholders, and developing and leading a water/wastewater engineering practice in the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement project management plans, establish project pricing and budgets, and create and maintain project schedules.
  • Develop and maintain project-specific quality plans, coordinate with clients, contractors, and government agencies, and oversee the quality of our products and services.
  • Manage sub-consultants, participate in client presentations, and oversee and manage assigned staff working on projects.
  • Develop and coordinate project scope, manage all technical resources on the project team, and develop extra work order requests and open-end contract task proposals.
  • Coordinate and assist Section Heads, Office Managers, and Practice Leaders with marketing proposals and perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program.
  • Professional Engineer License (TN or ability to obtain through reciprocity preferred).
  • 12-25 years' experience in Water/Wastewater Engineering.
  • Experience working with Tennessee-based clients at the city, county, and state level.
  • Project management and business development experience.
  • Experience managing multidiscipline project teams.
Working Conditions

Work is performed within a general office environment 95% of the time. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment. Field work is required on occasion where work may be conducted outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Some lifting (up to 25 lbs) may be required as needed.
