We are seeking a highly skilled Relationship Banking Assistant to join our team at Heritage Bank. As a key member of our commercial banking team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and building strong relationships with our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide top-notch customer service to new and existing clients, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and effective manner.
- Work closely with commercial banking teams to identify and pursue business opportunities, recommending products and services that meet the needs of our clients.
- Process transactions and maintain accurate records, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Support the development and implementation of sales and marketing strategies to drive business growth and expansion.
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives, demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and open communication.
- H.S. Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Level I - 1 year recent experience in commercial and/or retail branch banking, including cash handling, new accounts opening, and relationship management.
- Level II - 2+ years recent experience in commercial and/or retail branch banking, including cash handling, new accounts opening, documentation, and compliance, relationship management, and business development.
- Equivalent combination of education, experience, and training may be considered.
- Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service, respond to customer needs, and work effectively as a team contributor.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English well.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple assignments and goals.
This is a full-time position, with a typical schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Flexibility is required to work as needed to ensure adequate staffing for training or employee absences.
The successful candidate will be able to work in a climate-controlled office environment, with occasional exposure to potential risk and hazards associated with criminal activity.
The physical demands of this position include the constant use of computer screens, reading of reports, and sitting throughout the day. Ability to operate a computer keyboard, multi-line telephone, photocopier, scanner, facsimile, fine count cash, and operate a cash counter, which often requires dexterity of hands and fingers with repetitive wrist and hand motion.

The base salary range represents the minimum, midpoint, and maximum of Heritage Bank's salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, and job performance.
