The Rhode Island Blood Center is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervisor of Testing and Quality Assurance to join our team. As a key member of our laboratory operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality and efficiency in our testing processes.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the daily operations of the testing laboratory, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Manage and maintain accurate records of tests, results, and quality control measures.
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance testing processes and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with laboratory staff to provide training and guidance on testing procedures and quality control measures.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and laboratory policies.
- Develop and implement corrective actions to address any deviations or non-compliance issues.
- Manage and maintain laboratory inventory, including ordering and tracking of supplies and equipment.
- Develop and implement procedures for troubleshooting and resolving equipment and testing issues.
- Provide technical assistance and support to laboratory staff and customers as needed.
- Participate in the development and implementation of new laboratory procedures and equipment.
- Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science (CLS/MLS/MT) or Bachelor of Science degree in chemical or biological science, with minimum requirement of 6 credits of biology and 6 credits of chemistry completed.
- Minimum of four years of experience in a high-complexity laboratory.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and laboratory policies.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.

CompensationThe Rhode Island Blood Center offers a competitive salary range of $78,000 to $88,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
