Quality Assurance Specialist

We're seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to work in a fabrication environment. This person will have duties around ISO9001, customer interactions, working with the MFG team and inspectors, etc...

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) and quality control plans.
  • Maintain ISO 9001 standards compliance and documentation.
  • Oversee Supplier Qualification Program, audits, and material inspections.
  • Manage product quality assurance programs, including in-process inspections, NDT, and testing.
  • Maintain customer product certification, conduct inspections, and document product releases.
  • Interact with customers, assist with welder certification, and address quality-related issues.
  • Perform other duties as directed by QA/CI manager.

Qualifications:

  • BS Degree in Engineering and 2+ years experience in a similar role / environment OR, Specifically relevant experience will be highly considered as well. degree or equivalent experience in manufacturing/steel fabrication.
  • Understanding of metal fabrication, welding, MFG cells, ISO audits, working with supplier quality, various inspections, etc...
  • Highly Desirable: *(not required)
  • CWI or CQE certification, Lean Manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to perform or learn NDT evaluations (dye-penetrant, magnetic particle, etc.).
