We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Park Ranger Supervisor to join our team at Sacramento County CA. Key Responsibilities- Supervise and manage a team of park rangers and support staff
- Enforce park rules and regulations, and respond to emergency situations
- Develop and implement park programs and services to enhance visitor experience
- Collaborate with other departments and agencies to achieve park management goals
- Monitor and report on park operations, including budgeting and resource allocation
- Valid State of California Peace Officers Standard and Training (POST) Basic Certificate
- 6 years of full-time paid or volunteer experience in park ranger activities, law enforcement, or investigative work
- Ability to lift, pull, push, and carry equipment and material weighing up to 40 pounds
- Normal color vision, hearing, and sense of vision
- Ability to work in all types of climatic conditions, including inclement or very hot weather
Incumbents in this class will work in an office setting, as well as outdoors in all types of climatic conditions. They will be required to wear and maintain a designated uniform, including department-issued safety equipment. They will also be required to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and may be required to work overtime and standby.
Probationary PeriodThe probationary period for this classification is 12 months.
