Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Park Ranger to join our team at Government Jobs. As a Park Ranger, you will be responsible for performing duties related to law enforcement, visitor services, interpretive programs, resource and wildlife protection, safety enforcement, pollution control, public relations, and fee collection for the County Regional Parks System.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enforce laws and regulations within the County Regional Parks System
  • Provide visitor services and information to the public
  • Develop and implement interpretive programs to educate visitors about the natural and cultural resources of the parks
  • Protect and conserve natural and cultural resources within the parks
  • Enforce safety regulations and respond to emergencies
  • Collect fees and monitor park usage

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2 years of experience in law enforcement, conservation, or a related field
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions quickly
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a variety of outdoor environments, including extreme weather conditions
  • May be required to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends
