Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing primary and urgent care services to patients in our Poughkeepsie and Wappingers Falls locations. This includes conducting physical examinations, diagnosing and treating acute and chronic illnesses, and prescribing medications as needed.
Responsibilities- Analyze and interpret patient data to develop appropriate diagnoses and treatment plans
- Consult with specialists when necessary and refer patients to other healthcare providers as needed
- Counsel patients on medication regimens and potential side effects
- Detect and respond to adverse drug reactions
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic health conditions
- Educate patients on self-management of illnesses and provide guidance on healthy lifestyle choices
- Maintain current knowledge of state legal regulations and industry best practices
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab results and imaging studies
- Perform routine physical examinations and provide preventative care
- Prescribe and administer medications as authorized
- Treat and refer patients for primary care conditions
To be considered for this role, you must have a strong background in primary care or urgent care, with a focus on patient-centered care and excellent communication skills. A minimum of 2 years of experience is preferred, with a salary range of $70-75 per hour based on experience. New graduates may start at $65 per hour. ER or Urgent Care experience and DOT Certification are also preferred.
