Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner Surgical Services Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our surgical services team at WMC Advanced Physician Services PC. As a key member of our team, you will work alongside experienced physician and APP colleagues to manage a variety of surgical patients, including trauma, orthopedics, vascular, and acute care surgery, throughout the course of their hospital stay.
Responsibilities- Performing medical evaluations, treatment, follow-up, and consultations for diverse trauma and acute care surgical patients.
- PAs and NPs with an RNFA are able to 1st Assist in the Operating Room on open and minimally invasive procedures.
- Delivering direct patient care as part of a collaborative patient care team.
- Gaining a working competency of procedures inclusive of, but not limited to, central line placement/removal, insertion/removal of chest tubes, and arterial lines.
- Candidates must be board certified as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner and possess or be eligible to obtain an applicable New York State license.
- Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 1-year experience, although highly motivated new graduates with interest and abilities in surgery will be considered and are encouraged to apply.
