About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Portfolio Accountant to join our team at Brandywine Realty Trust. This position will be responsible for managing financial activities related to a designated portfolio of properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Daily and Weekly Tasks:
    • Complete lease profiles for compliance in various areas
    • Review processed tenant move-in and move-out forms updates in MRI
    • Oversee the posting of daily cash receipts batches
    • Provide support to the Property Accountant and Accounts Receivable Administrator on collection of tenants' past due accounts
    • Communicate effectively with Regional Asset Management Teams, Property Managers, Leasing Agents and field personnel to resolve tenant account issues
  • Monthly and Quarterly Tasks:
    • Assist with month-end general ledger review
    • Prepare correcting and accrual journal entries
    • Update monthly property accounting workpapers for balance sheet accounts, such as: prepaid taxes, prepaid R&M, unbilled receivables, and accrued expenses
  • Annual Tasks:
    • Calculate and send out new CAM estimates to tenants
    • Calculate and distribute CAM reconciliations
