About the Role:
We are seeking a visionary leader to build and lead a novel non-clinical statistics function within our Data Science and Modeling and Simulation team in PK Sciences. This role is pivotal in driving the integration of statistical methodologies into our research, supporting one of our key disease areas directly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and lead an industry-leading non-clinical statistics function to support our different disease areas and functions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Biomedical Research to integrate statistical insights into research and development processes.
- Provide statistical support and expertise for one of our disease areas.
- Serve as a member of our interdisciplinary analytical leadership team and represent non-clinical statistics on internal boards as needed.
- Drive the development and application of novel statistical methodologies to enhance data analysis and interpretation.
- Mentor and develop junior statisticians and data scientists, promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
Requirements:
- Ph.D. or MSc in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in non-clinical statistics, with a strong background in translational medicine or biomedical research.
- Proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
- Expertise in statistical software and programming languages (e.g., R, SAS, Python).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to drive methodological innovation and apply advanced statistical techniques to complex problems.
