Job Title: Clinical Team Lead

The University of Colorado is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Team Lead to join our team at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. As a key member of our Addiction Research & Treatment Services (ARTS) team, you will play a critical role in managing various aspects of patient treatment and Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) at our clinic.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the clinic to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Act as the designee to the Clinic Manager in their absence, monitoring caseload progress and providing clinical and administrative support.
  • Conduct quality assurance and continuous quality improvement practices, performing case audits quarterly and as assigned by the Clinic Manager.
  • Provide supervision and case staffing as required, including supervision of staff involved in special programming such as Drug Court and DUI services.
  • Attend clinic team meetings and case conferences, sharing input regarding clinic policies and treatment plans.
  • Develop and implement the intake schedule, acting as an internal liaison for intake coordination.
  • Interview clients for admission to the Adult Outpatient Program (AOP), conducting patient assessments, intakes, and referrals to treatment for substance use disorder.
  • Plan for patient treatment and care by creating and implementing individualized treatment plans, documenting patient progress and gathering psychosocial histories.
  • Coordinate access to medical care in collaboration with the Medical Director and coordinate planning and programs for Medication-Assisted Treatment and treatment schedules.
  • Co-supervise ARTS employees providing services to clients involved with the Department of Corrections, providing outreach, reports, and updates to referral sources.
  • Provide treatment services, including individual, group, and family counseling sessions, and documentation in accordance with policy and procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, human services, or a closely related field from an accredited university or institution of higher education.
  • Three (3) years of professional-level experience in Mental Health, Behavioral Health, case management, research, or a closely related field.
  • Possess a valid registration in good standing with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) as a Certified Addictions Specialist (CAS), Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPC-C), Social Worker Candidate (SW-C), Licensed Addiction Counselor Candidate (LAC-C), or Marriage and Family Therapist Candidate (MFT-C).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, human services, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
  • Possess a valid license in good standing with Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Social Worker (LSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Addictions Counselor (LAC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • At least four (4) years of demonstrated professional experience in the field of behavioral health, such as mental health or substance use disorder treatment.
  • At least one (1) year of experience at a supervisory level, staff/team lead, and/or supervising other staff.
  • Experience providing or supervising substance use disorder services for special populations such as gender-responsive, criminal justice, communicable diseases, medically compromised, and/or dual diagnosis patients.
  • Experience working with Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT).
  • Experience with evidence-based practices and interventions.
  • Experience as a project director or a project lead.
  • Experience working on a multi-disciplinary team.
