Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Property Accountant to join our team at Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the financial accuracy and timely reporting for a portfolio of properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the full accounting cycle for a designated portfolio of properties, including commercial office and residential properties.
  • Oversee daily transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Prepare and review monthly financial statements, including general ledgers, balance sheets, and income statements.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and prepare reports for property managers and ownership.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting for assigned properties.
  • Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Manage cash flow for assigned properties, ensuring timely payments to vendors and owners.
  • Oversee fixed asset schedules and depreciation calculations.
  • May train and mentor junior property accountants.
  • Stay up-to-date on relevant accounting regulations and industry best practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent designation (preferred).
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in property accounting is required.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  • Experience with property management software (e.g., Yardi, JDE, etc).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
