About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as a Blood Collection Specialist. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the success of our blood collection operations, working closely with our team to transport and set up equipment at collection sites, create a welcoming environment for donors, and follow all safety procedures to collect lifesaving blood donations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Connect with donors, listen to their stories, and help them understand the impact of their donation.
  • Collaborate with your team to create a friendly and comfortable environment for donors.
  • Ensure that collected blood meets regulatory requirements and can be safely transfused.
  • May drive Red Cross vehicles and assist with setting up and tearing down equipment at donation sites.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are essential.
  • A current, valid driver's license with a good driving record is required.
  • Physical requirements include lifting, pushing, or pulling heavy weights, good manual dexterity, and the ability to sit or stand for long periods.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior healthcare or phlebotomy experience (CNA, MA, EMT, etc.).
  • Prior leadership experience.
