Community Engagement Coordinator
Description:

The Community Engagement Coordinator will facilitate communication and outreach initiatives for a range of electrical enhancements aimed at promoting renewable energy initiatives. This role encompasses the creation and execution of strategic communication plans to ensure the success of our clients.

  • Oversee communication and public engagement efforts on long-term permitting, site selection, and construction projects.
  • Formulate project-specific communication strategies and outreach plans.
  • Engage with diverse stakeholders impacted by construction activities, ensuring project commitments to the community are met while serving as the intermediary between project leaders, contractors, and the public.
  • Deliver exceptional client service by being accessible for issue resolution, providing timely updates, and fostering a positive public perception.
  • Execute strategic outreach initiatives, which may include creating newsletters, fact sheets, website content, information hotlines, press releases, public forums, open houses, feedback forms, mailing lists, and responding to public inquiries.
  • Assist in the development of materials, manage event logistics, participate in public forums, track inquiries on public information hotlines, and oversee data management.
  • Provide graphic design support for promotional campaigns.
  • Generate and distribute reports within a Stakeholder Management System.
  • Organize and maintain project information files, coordinating the flow of outreach information to project managers and clients.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Willingness to travel 25% within the designated region.
Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in public relations, communications, environmental studies, or a related discipline from an accredited institution is required.
  • 3 to 10 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Previous internship or related experience is advantageous.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in computer software applications (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Basic analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to comprehend technical information and convey it effectively to the public.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage priorities and timelines.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Capacity to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with design and presentation software is a plus.
  • High level of attention to detail is essential.

A valid driver's license is required. Additionally, candidates must meet the criteria to qualify for and maintain the Company's vehicle driving privileges as outlined in the Company's Motor Vehicle Safety Policy.
