As our Culinary Operations Assistant Manager, you will represent the leadership team by showcasing outstanding hospitality for both guests and team members in all areas of the establishment.
Your role will involve enhancing team engagement, optimizing productivity, and driving positive business outcomes.Key Responsibilities::
In collaboration with the Kitchen Manager, you will oversee and support all operational aspects, ensuring excellence for your team and guests, including:
- Greeting and assisting guests in an engaging manner with accurate and timely information
- Making informed product/service recommendations and accommodating special requests
- Managing order guides and deadlines for all ingredients and supplies
- Ensuring proper receiving and stocking of goods in accordance with rotation standards
- Minimizing product shrinkage and damage
- Collaborating with the Kitchen Manager and Talent Acquisition to source, select, hire, and train new team members
- Contributing to the sales and profitability of the department
- Assisting in creating and managing weekly schedules for team members to guarantee an exceptional guest experience
- Supporting the Kitchen Manager in overseeing sales, profitability, and margins
- Assisting in the development of food production schedules to adhere to safety and quality standards
- Conducting weekly inventory assessments
- Ensuring compliance with cleaning schedules for all areas
- Maintaining merchandising standards consistent with company guidelines
- Ensuring proper maintenance and servicing of equipment
- Providing weekly operational feedback to stakeholders for necessary adjustments
- Upholding company standards and policies among team members
- Ensuring adherence to all safety protocols, including food safety regulations.
Availability::
This position requires flexibility to meet the needs of our guests and teams, including availability for weekends, days, evenings, and occasional overnight shifts.
Qualifications::
To be considered, you should possess:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a front-of-house management role within the retail, restaurant, or hospitality sectors
- Strong oral and written communication skills for effective interaction with team members, management, and guests
- A High School Diploma
- At least 18 years of age (19 in certain states)
- A passion for preparing delicious, healthy, and safe food
- High standards for food quality and customer satisfaction
- Knowledge of food and health department regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts, Food Science, Nutrition, or Hotel/Restaurant Management is highly desirable
- Experience in retail, culinary, or grocery environments
- Familiarity with Production Planning Software.
Physical and Work Conditions:
- Repetitive hand/arm movements, bending, reaching, and the ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
- Exposure to varying temperatures
- Ability to use tools and equipment such as knives, ladders, and pallet jacks
- Required to stand or walk for extended periods (up to 4 hours or as mandated by law)
- Compliance with personal protective equipment requirements.
