Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and visitors, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Coordinate and schedule appointments, procedures, and tests, ensuring timely and efficient use of resources.
  • Prepare and distribute medical records, reports, and other documents as required.
  • Perform various administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and photocopying.
  • Assist with billing and insurance claims, ensuring accurate and timely submission.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with patients, families, and healthcare providers, promoting a positive and supportive environment.

Requirements:

  • 1 year of clerical/secretarial experience in a healthcare environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of a course in Medical Terminology or commensurate experience.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMRs) and practice management systems.
