Job Overview:
Are you ready to lead a dynamic team of hospitality experts? In the Culinary Services department, we strive to provide an outstanding dining experience for our community. Our environment fosters hard work, professional development, and continuous learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and management for all dining staff.
- Oversee all culinary operations, including various dining venues.
- Ensure superior customer service by anticipating guest needs and upholding high standards.
- Conduct pre-service meetings and ensure compliance with service protocols.
- Act as a bridge between front-of-house and back-of-house teams.
- Maintain equipment functionality and ensure proper setup of dining stations.
- Guarantee adherence to food preparation, sanitation, and safety regulations.
- Train staff on culinary techniques and equipment operation.
- Manage inventory and procurement processes utilizing FoodPro software.
- Ensure compliance with institutional standards, policies, and health regulations.
- Participate in management meetings and staff training sessions.
- Oversee the overall ambiance of dining facilities, ensuring cleanliness and proper stock levels.
- Address personnel issues and enforce disciplinary actions as directed.
- Communicate essential information effectively to all team members.
- Manage staff schedules, including accommodating personal requests and facilitating shift changes.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- At least 5 years of leadership experience in culinary operations.
- Ability to work autonomously, lead a team, and collaborate effectively.
- Strong leadership and supervisory capabilities with a proven track record of managing diverse teams.
- Experience in performance assessment and staff development.
- Knowledge of sustainability practices and environmental initiatives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and related software.
- Ability to effectively promote dining initiatives.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Extensive culinary experience in a collegiate or similar environment.
- Leadership experience in sustainability initiatives and resource management.
