Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Support Specialist to join our team at Alamance Community College. As a key member of our Information Services Department, you will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to our users, ensuring the smooth operation of our computer and information technology systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support and assistance to users, including troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues.
  • Install, maintain, update, and repair information technology hardware and software.
  • Prepare records and reports to document operations and ensure compliance with department policies and procedures.
  • Evaluate potential hardware and software to meet user needs and support hardware and software migrations.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An Associate degree (A.S., A.A.) or two-year technical certificate in Computer Science or a related area.
  • 2-4 years of related experience in IT support or a related field.
