Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Materials Manager to lead our Surgical Services team in the management of perioperative materials, strategic sourcing, and procurement operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical/surgical supply storage areas, operating rooms, and hospital environments.

Key Responsibilities

Provide leadership and direction for daily business operation activities in conjunction with the Director of Surgical Business Operations, supervisor, and leads.
Oversee and maintain all surgical services supply inventory, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the implant room and central core.
Develop and standardize processes to manage perioperative material acquisition and equipment needs of Surgical Services, maximizing efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Support the maintenance of inventory control systems, ensuring proper product rotation, cleanliness, and timely product returns post-procedure.
Analyze financial and utilization data to optimize supply and equipment utilization, meeting fiscal budgets and financial consignment targets.
Review contracts and submit revisions to Supply Chain Management based on volume, financial impact, and relevance to core business/mission.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, materials management, economics, or related field, or four years of experience in a related field.
Minimum two to three years of experience in purchasing, contracting, materials management, or related areas, including experience with materials management systems and control of budgets.
One year of experience in a peri-operative environment, including Ambulatory Surgery Unit and/or Operating Room, and/or Sterile Processing.
Proficient in software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite, and ability to develop and analyze spreadsheets and write business communications.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
