About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Client Services Specialist to join our team at Safe Horizon. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our residential facilities, providing critical support services to clients, and promoting a culture of safety and respect.

The estimated salary range for this position is $22.80-$23.96 per hour. This is a full-time opportunity with 35 hours of work per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct emergency shelter intakes, assess clients' immediate safety needs, and develop risk management plans.
  • Provide crisis intervention, including mediation and de-escalation skills, to resolve conflicts between residents.
  • Participate in trainings to enhance client-centered practice skills and knowledge about self-care and vicarious trauma.
  • Develop and implement self-care and social activities for clients and their children.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
  • Sort and distribute donations, assist with basic office tasks, and provide referrals for clients' basic needs.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED and two years of relevant experience.
  • Basic computer skills necessary.
  • Certifications: F07-Fire and Emergency Drill Conductor and S95-Supervision of Fire Alarm Systems (Emergency Shelters) or F80-Coordinator of Fire Safety and Alarm Systems in Homeless Shelters, Pediatric CPR/First Aid Certification, and Security Guard License (Transitional Shelters).
