Tower Health is seeking a qualified individual for the role of Chief of Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine at our esteemed hospital in Philadelphia, PA. This pivotal position involves overseeing the clinical and operational functions of the Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine department. The ideal candidate will possess a strong track record in leadership, program innovation, strategic development, and clinical management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily clinical operations of the medical team
  • Establish a clear vision and strategic direction for the department
  • Provide leadership on operational matters
  • Design and implement departmental policies
  • Engage actively as a practicing physician
  • Develop educational programs focused on practice improvement
  • Mentor and train clinical personnel
  • Participate actively in Quality Improvement initiatives
  • Lead recruitment efforts for physicians and nurse practitioners to enhance departmental capacity
  • Oversee the responsibilities and performance of medical staff

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO degree
  • Unrestricted medical license in Pennsylvania
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Pediatric Residency
  • Board Certification in Pediatrics
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine Fellowship
  • A minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in a pediatric hospitalist setting
  • At least 3 years of experience in leadership and change management within a clinical environment
